Taking the Sample

You will take your Sample from the Back of your scalp as shown in this video above. I am sectioning out the hair in three sections to take small amounts from separate sections so I do not leave a chunk taken out of one part of the head. I find this method works better than clipping it from ONE spot alone. If you have questions still, please message me directly so I can clarify with you. It is VERY IMPORTANT to follow instructions included to ensure your Sample is as accurate as possible. Do not skip these steps.

About Dyed Hair

It is BEST to have undyed, virgin hair for the sample for accuracy, however dyed hair can be used so long as it has been washed 8-10 times before the sample is taken ( waiting about 3 weeks is best between dyeing)

This video shows the taking of a sample using a small paper scale. I have since started putting my Hair Test Kits together myself so I don’t have to constantly order from my lab. You will do the sample the same way but you will fill a HEAPING TEASPOON with hair which is the equivalent of the scale weight. When in doubt, add a bit more if you feel concerned.

Please follow the Instructions precisely to ensure we get an accurate reading and levels from the lab. You will absolutely need someone to help you take the sample and it is much easier than it seems!
